Elegant Yet Casual Beach Receptions
Of course there are many beautiful beaches on Kauai. We do have our favorites, however, and have included this page to give you our impressions and some photos to help you decide on the wedding location that best suits you.
Secluded, wind-swept beach with volcanic rocks, driftwood, a beautiful gnarled tree as well as a long stretch of sandy shore.

A common wedding location but long and wide enough to provide a sense of intimacy for each wedding. Lined with big old ironwood trees which create ‘coves’ for natural wedding chapels, a sandstone cliff which makes a great backdrop for photos, a small palm-bedecked park.

A small stream winding down to the sea, wide sand beach usually quite secluded, a beautiful small bay, trees on a little knoll, a bamboo swing big enough for two.

Gorgeous aquamarine water, waves crashing on the reef offshore, calm waters by the beach, old twisted trees, the exquisite backdrop of Bali Hai (made famous in the film “South Pacific”).

Two falls on Kauai are lovely and lively for weddings. In both cases a short hike brings you to the top of the falls where the wedding can be celebrated. The surrounding forest as well as the stream and huge rocks above the falls provide ample photo opportunities.

Our house sits on a hill overlooking our three-acre tropical garden which
is paradise indeed. The spirit of this beautiful place in the center
of the island is immediately felt and its name is Ho’o Nanea, “a
place to pass the time in peace”. Our deck overlooking Sleeping
Giant Mountain is the perfect location for a small cake and champagne reception.
